I’m fighting for my Malden Catholic teammate Kevin Hennessey who, at 29 years old, was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. Kevin began his fight in April of 2023 with the same toughness and tenacity that he displayed on the football field back in the day. After 12 rounds of chemotherapy treatment, and 6 weeks of radiation, Kevin is still swinging and remains in the fight. I also fight in honor of my father-in-law Tom’s recent bout with prostate cancer. Thanks to an excellent team of doctors and his own proactive monitoring, Tom is now recovering from a successful surgical removal of this terrible disease. In an effort to help prevent others from going through the same pain, we will be raising money for the Jimmy Fund to support the critical research work done by the Dana-Farber Institute.
